What a year!

Well winter was busier than we expected. We can safely say that we have beaten our expectations, and can announce we are finalists in the national Hospitality awards!!!! We officially serve some of the best Beef and Lamb in New Zealand!! We fly to Auckland on the 30th of September and attend a black tie dinner. We will be back on the 1st, hopefully with a swag of awards.

Back at work on the 2nd of October.

Its still cold but.....

Wow, winter is in its closing stages already!!

We are busy working on our ideas for summer. Its been a good year to date, and we have exceeded all our expectations. We are currently waiting for the NZ Hospitality association to come and inspect us for the best new/redeveloped restaurant in Nz, so we are on our best behaviour. A lot has changed over winter, including the colour of the bathroom.

What a busy weekend we had, it was nice to have such a busy time in the middle of winter. We had to turn away nearly enough people to fill the restaurant over again!! Who would have thunk it. Things are ticking along well here, new wine vintages coming through, and some fantastic local root veges. We started our new dine early menu, and it was well received.

My wife Katie-Jane and I have a small restaurant in Nelson, New Zealand.

Late last year we were in Llandudno, Wales, working and we saw an opportunity to open a restaurant in a building we had long had our eye on in Nz.
